Trade Union Group of Labour MPs logoThe Trade Union Group of Labour MPs brings together Labour MPs who are members of trade unions affiliated to the Labour Party. They work closely with the trade unions to strengthen the voice of working people in Parliament.

Founded in 1926, the Trade Union Group of Labour MPs meets regularly to discuss issues related to trade unions and workers’ rights, and works to promote these issues in Parliament.

The Group is led by a smaller Executive of Labour MPs, who host regular events to discuss industrial issues, meet with workers and unions, and campaign for stronger workers’ rights. Since the last election, their work has focused on delivering Labour’s New Deal for Working People, which is set to be the greatest uplift in workers’ rights in a generation.
