Women can’t trust Boris Johnson and the Tories with their wages and their rights at work.
Only a Labour Government will guarantee equal rights for women in the workforce.
They will work to end pay discrimination, protect the rights of pregnant and new mums and women experiencing the menopause, and take action to help everyone get a better balance of work and home life.
Labour will:
- Work to end pay discrimination and make equal pay audits and action plans compulsory for large firms, with fines for those who don’t comply.
- Improve work-life balance, with stronger flexible working rights from Day 1 in a job, create 4 new public holidays and work to increase annual leave entitlements.
- Give all 2 to 4 year olds 30 free hours of nursery education every week.
- Strengthen rights protecting pregnant women and women experiencing the menopause, and bring in stronger protection against unfair redundancy.
