Labour will:

  • Introduce a real living wage of at least £10 an hour immediately, and increase this in line with living costs.
  • End in-work poverty within their first term of office, and eliminate the need for food banks within 3 years.
  • Ban zero hours contracts, and give unions more power to win better pay and conditions for millions of people.
  • Build at least a million new affordable homes to buy and rent over ten years, including council homes.
  • Scrap Universal Credit and build a fairer social security system.
